Friday, July 10th – July “Second Friday” Social
Dance to the best in Latin music with DJ Mateo at Milwaukee’s longest-running salsa social this Friday at the beautiful Delaware House in Bay View! (Our July social is being held on the second Friday due to the July 4th holiday.) First Friday Salsa Socials welcome dancers of all levels, no partner or experience required! Enjoy a dance lesson at 8PM followed by open dancing and refreshments from 9PM until midnight. $8 at the door. Hosted by Mezclando Milwaukee.
Friday, July 17th – Salsabrositas Fundraiser Social
Support Milwaukee’s youngest Latin dance team as they raise funds to share the stage with the world Junior salsa champion Natasha Silva. The Salsabrositas may be small, but this event will be big! Enjoy food, a raffle, and plenty of dance performances by teams from Milwaukee and throughout the Midwest. DJ Mateo will be spinning! This event will be held at the Astor Hotel ballroom with a free salsa lesson by Danny Balderas at 7:00 PM and Bachata lesson by Tito Sarda at 7:30PM. Cost is $10.00
Saturday, July 25th – Milwaukee Latino Carnaval 2015
Celebrate Latino culture with a parade and street festival featuring live music, performances, vendors, kids activities, and more! The theme for this year’s Milwaukee Latino Carnaval is “Honoring the African Diaspora” and will highlight the countries of Cuba, Honduras, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. Festivities start at 11AM and run until 10PM. The street festival will be held at the east end of National Ave, at 818 S. Water St. Visit the event page for more information.
